Matarki reading week 8

Kia ora! Its me Elise now if you saw the title your Probably wondering what Matariki is.Well matariki is the Maori new year And it has Finally come! Anyways the Reading task for this week is About matarki

Creat task 1:

The matariki - There are 7 sisters and they were very annoying the red star and the blue star got annoyed when the parents heard about this, they called there eldest daughter Matariki to get her younger sisters “Waipun-a-Rangi, Waiti, Ururangi, Tupu-a-nuku, Tupu-a-rangi, Waita! Come quickly” their parents told them their special roles of the Maori new year.

If you can not see the matariki then it's going to be a bad year.

This explains on how if the mataraki is covered by clouds its a bad year But if it isn't covered its going to be a good year for winter harvesting,Growing crops,Going fishing.

This Page (te papa Museum) Shows that not all tribes celebrate matariki at the same time. The matariki is not a constellation it is a star cluster te papa also how you can see the matarki you self this is how. In the morning before sun-rise look to the north east horizon and you can see the your self
